Using this website

About this website

Written by healthcare professionals, this website is packed with useful information to take you from your child's first birthday until their third birthday. We’ve split the site into four sections. These cover; everyday routines, growing up, you and your family and your roddler's health.

Throughout the website we’ve referred to your toddler as ‘he’. We felt it made it easier reading than saying ‘he or she’ throughout. So, whether you have a ‘he or she’ – we hope you enjoy this website, and this precious time with your toddler.

The term ‘parenting’ applies to anyone who is involved in the care of a child. Throughout this website we refer to parents and carers - and we are referring not just to mums, dads and partners but to anyone who is involved in raising your little one - grandparents, step-parents, kinship carers, foster and adoptive parents, extended families, ‘corporate parents’ of children looked after by the state.
